1. Persistent joint pain
One of the most common and obvious signs of arthritis is persistent joint pain .
What it feels like:
- Dull or sharp pains
- Pain that worsens with movement.
- Discomfort even at rest in the most advanced cases.
This pain may come and go at first, but it may become more frequent over time.
2. Joint stiffness, especially in the morning.
Morning stiffness is a classic symptom, especially in inflammatory diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis.
Key signals:
- Difficulty moving joints after waking up.
- Stiffness that lasts more than 30 minutes
- Gradual improvement with movement.
This symptom indicates inflammation within the joint.
3. Swelling around the joints
Inflammation usually causes visible swelling in the affected areas.
What to look for:
- Swollen or enlarged joints
- Heat around the joint
- Tenderness to the touch
Swelling may be constant or appear periodically.
