"This is your home," Danielle said softly.
I stood there, speechless.
They showed me a hallway.

"This entire wing is at your disposal," said Michael.
I turned to them, dumbfounded. "Everything?"
They smiled.
"Stay as long as you like. We have plenty of time to make up for lost time."
"This is your home."
For the first time in months, maybe years, I felt something I didn't expect.
Relief.
Not because everything suddenly became perfect.
But that's because I was no longer fighting to survive.
