Tried Many Things Before, But This Hack Does the Job for Me!

Why This Works: The Science

Ingredient Role
Powdered sugar Attracts the ants. They think they've found a food source.
Borax A naturally occurring mineral that is toxic to ants but slow-acting. The ants carry it back to the nest before it affects them, ensuring the poison reaches the entire colony.

The key: The ants don't die immediately. They have time to share the bait with the colony, including the queen. This means you eliminate the nest, not just the ants you see.

Pro-Tips for Success

1. Use the Right Ratio
Too much borax, and the ants won't touch it. Too little, and it won't work. The 1:3 ratio (borax to sugar) is the sweet spot.

2. Place Bait Near Ant Trails
Follow the line of ants to see where they're entering. Place bait near their entry point and along their path.

3. Be Patient
It may take 2-5 days to see results. The ants need time to find the bait, carry it back, and feed the colony.

4. Keep Away from Pets and Children
While borax is less toxic than chemical pesticides, it can still be harmful if ingested. Place bait in areas pets and kids can't reach.

5. Remove Other Food Sources
While the bait is working, keep counters clean. The ants should prefer the sugary bait, but they'll eat other food if it's available.

6. Seal Entry Points
After the ants are gone, caulk cracks and seal entry points to prevent future invasions.
